Florida law requires a Certified Roofing Contractor license for every roofing job. It does not require a General Contractor license. We hold both. The records below are screenshots taken directly from the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) licensing portal. You can verify each one yourself using the link beneath each record.

Florida law requires every contractor license to be held by an individual qualifying agent, not the company itself. Both DR Construction & Roofing licenses are held by the company's qualifying agent under DR CONSTRUCTION AND ROOFING INC. The DBPR records below show this exactly as the state issued them.

Why It Matters

Most roofers in Florida hold one license. We hold two.

Roofing License (CCC)

Required to touch a roof.

Florida requires a CCC for every roofing job: tile, shingle, metal, flat. Every legitimate roofer in this state must hold one. Without it, the work is illegal and the warranty is void. Our number is CCC 1328855, issued in 2008.

General Contractor (CGC)

Required for the work around the roof.

Fascia repair, decking replacement, structural framing, soffit work, and permit-pulled modifications all require a General Contractor license. Most roofers refer this work out. We hold CGC 1507284, issued in 2004, and keep the entire job in-house.

When a roofer with one license hits structural work, they sub it out. That means a second crew, a second schedule, a second markup, and a second point of failure. We hold both licenses so one crew owns the entire job from teardown to final inspection. No referrals. No second invoices. No finger-pointing.
